Growth Form: Shrubs.

Stems: Branches green, slender, flexible, long, few–leaved.

Roots:

Leaves: Leaves simple, scale-like. Alternate. Surfaces green. Short-petiolate. Stipules absent.

Flowers: Flowers numerous in terminal racemes. Flowers papilionaceous. Bracteoles present. Calyx spathaceous, split along upper side, minutely 5-toothed. Corolla yellow, wing petals distinct, shorter than keel, keel obtuse, curved upward. Stamens 10, connate into a tube. Ovary superior; ovules numerous.

Fruit: Pods linear; dehiscent; subseptate between the seeds. Seeds numerous; with a collar-like rim–aril.
